More Than a Business. A Purpose That Points the Way.

Our Story

A Foundation Built on Experience and Faith

The Wooden Compass is more than a home-buying and renovation company. We’re a team that believes the work we do should have a lasting impact—on the homes we transform, the people we serve, and communities far beyond our own.

Founded in 2020 and backed by experience as licensed professionals since 2011, we specialize in purchasing homes for cash, making thoughtful repairs and transformations, and working alongside highly qualified real estate professionals. We also make modifications to existing homes to improve wheelchair mobility and accessibility. We are fully licensed and insured and approach every project with the same goal: Do quality work, treat people right, and build relationships based on trust.

Why “The Wooden Compass”?

A Name with Eternal Meaning

The Wooden Compass represents the wooden cross on which Jesus gave His life for us and our desire to use our lives to point others toward Him.

This truth shapes everything we do—from how we serve our clients, to how we approach each project, to the relationships we build. We are committed to trust, honesty, service and people, always striving to follow Jesus in our work.

Our Impact

Transforming More Than Homes

We genuinely love the transformation process. There is something special about seeing the potential in a home, making the necessary repairs, expressing creativity through the renovation, and giving that property a new chapter.

But we also believe the impact of each project shouldn’t stop at the front door.

For every project we complete, The Wooden Compass plants two fruit trees in Haiti. What started as a simple commitment has continued to grow, and we are now approaching 1,000 fruit trees planted.

Those trees represent more than a number. They can provide food, opportunity, and resources for generations to come.

We may never know the full impact of every home we restore, every person we help, or every tree we plant—and that’s exactly the point. We simply want to keep planting good seeds.
